My deepest condolences Carollyn. I hope you are surrounded by those that can help sustain you in your loss and that you find comfort in many cherished memories. Johanna, Maggie, Suzanne, and Michaela, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. His presence and impact on this world was impressive, positive, loving, and felt by many. He made some of the best seasons of my life possible as a kid, enabling Ellen, Bobby, Jeanne and I to spend many beautiful summers with each of you, at the Cape. I have always felt so fortunate for those formative, and idyllic times which your Dad made possible. After I lost my son nearly eight years ago I was extremely touched and comforted by a loving letter your Dad took the time to write. It brings tears to me now as I recall its content. Although I personally struggle in the "faith" department I hope and pray still, that he is reunited in a glorious and peaceful heaven, perhaps enjoying a cosmic sail on an eternal "Happy Hours" with his beloved Jimmy, and catching up with those who preceded him in his passage. “Say not in grief ‘he is no more’ but live in thankfulness that he was”. Indeed. Much Love to all! John

Our sincere sympathy at this time. Although we only knew Jim for a short time he made a large impression! He had a style and grace all his own and was so very welcoming. He will be greatly missed to be sure.

Dear Carrollyn and entire Meehan Family, Jim Meehan graced me with his wit and wisdom as I learned to be an attorney under his tutelage. The lessons I learned from him endure to this day, as does my love and appreciation for the man that he was. Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of this wonderful man. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

To Carrollyn, Johanna, Maggie, Suzanne and Michaela, Katie, Anya, Ange and the two fabulous Washington grandsons: Jim was a great and dear friend of ours who will always be most cherished. You can all be very proud of his considerable abilities, skills, and wit, and of his constant participation in all around him; but, even more so of Jim's warmth, his constant devotion to and efforts on behalf of others, and his many kindnesses to those who helped him and to those he loved. Jim was an unusual and good person whom we shall all miss. We are thankful and lucky for our time together. To us Jim was a blessing!
